Remote Examination Rescheduling

Remote Examination Rescheduling

Today, rescheduling opens up for the Spring examinations with the Royal Conservatory of Music! If you have an upcoming examination scheduled for June, please log into your RCM account and reschedule your examination by choosing 3 time slots that work best for your remote examination.

Answers to FAQ:

  • Vocal examinations will still require an accompanist. If a family member is able to accompany your student, you can still complete a remote examination. Thank you musical siblings and parents!
  • Theory students registered for a May exam will have access to online practice exams beginning May 18th. Theory students will be able to reschedule their exam date between June 1st and July 31st
  • Prep A to Level 8 RCM examinations will be complete online through ZOOM. Please sure that you have "music settings" on with ZOOM when completing your examination. Click here to learn how to change this setting if you have not done so already! ZOOM music Settings
  • Levels 9 to ARCT will pre-record their program and upload through youtube for their examination.

These recent changes with the RCM bring great opportunity for our students! You no longer have to wait for an exam "session" to complete your exams. Once you are ready to complete your exam, you can choose a remote examination date within two weeks! Keep practicing and keep thriving!

To support these changes, OSMPA will be rolling out workshops, master classes, technique and ear training classes to help prepare our students for their examinations. Please stay tuned for new group class schedules and workshops coming next week!

Additional private classes and practice examinations can currently be booked online at the following link: OSMPA Exam Prep

Have a wonderful Victoria Day Long Weekend!

A reminder there are no classes scheduled on Victoria Day Long Weekend. No classes scheduled on Saturday, May 16th to Monday, May 18th.

We look forward to seeing you online!
