When talented young musicians decide to share their gifts with the elderly, a transformative process is set in motion. Suite Melody Care opens up these opportunities.

The University Club of Toronto is hosting a benefit concert for Suite Melody Care on Friday May 27th at 6:30 pm. Joining Grand Prize Winner of the Canadian Music Competition Leslie Ashworth will be: violist Eric Nowlin (TSO and New Orford String Quartet), violinist Barry Shiffman (Co-Founder of St. Lawrence Quartet) and pianist Dianne Werner (ARC Ensemble). 



Founded by Leslie Ashworth, Suite Melody Care (www.suitemelodycare.com) is a youth volunteer community program that encourages musically gifted young people to give back to the community by bringing live music and musical trivia to those recovering from an illness/injury and to the elderly. Currently, theSuite Melody Care program has over 20 performer volunteers giving themed musical performances in long-term care facilities, retirement homes, and hospitals across Northern and Southern Ontario. In 2015, Suite Melody Care shared over 120 individual volunteer performances with more than 2,600 people.
