Royal Conservatory of Music Preparation

Students are encouraged and have the option to prepare for Royal Conservatory of Music Examinations with the OSMPA.

Students may begin from the beginning preparatory level up to grade 10, as well as prepare for their associate and teacher qualifications.

Royal Conservatory of Music Examination sessions are offered four times a year, at the following time slots:

Practical Examinations: January, April, June, August

Theoretical Examinations: May, August, December

Examinations give students the opportunity to prepare a full repertoire list and develop skills in performing, ear training, and sight reading. Alongside their practical examinations, students are required to study theoretical subjects in rudiments, harmony, and history. Students will examine a variety of repertoire including Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Impressionist.

Our students will enroll in the Oakville examination centre with the Royal Conservatory of Music, the centre number 158.
